Innovative Educational Technologies in S.T.E.M. Education
Ellagenay J. Sellers’s Journey of Innovation, Service, and STEM Leadership
I’m El’Lagenay Jones-Sellers—a dedicated educator, STEM advocate, and creative leader with over 15 years of experience in teaching and mentorship. I hold a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and a national certification from the National Institute for STEM Education. My passion lies in creating dynamic, student-centered learning environments that foster critical thinking, creativity, and digital fluency.
Throughout my journey, I’ve earned certifications in Apple tools, AMSTI Science, and Project Lead the Way (PLTW). As an Ed Farm Fellow, I’ve led initiatives that introduced podcasting, 3D printing, coding, and audio production into my classroom—empowering students to take charge of their learning. My technical skills include Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Canva, GarageBand, iMovie, ChatGPT, and web design platforms such as Wix and Weebly.
Beyond the classroom, I proudly serve my community. At Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, I lead the Audio and Sound Ministry, where I manage live sound production and mentor youth on operating audio equipment. As a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., I serve on the Technology Committee, supporting events, scholarship fundraisers, and regional programming with my digital expertise.
Most importantly, I’m a wife and proud mother. My family—especially my son, Kendrick Jr.—is my daily inspiration. Guided by faith, I bring compassion, leadership, and purpose to every space I enter, with a mission to uplift and empower the next generation of thinkers and innovators
